SRM Agricultural College came up with the proposal of Movable Partition for a hall size 1500Sft. MODWAL was recommended by the Architect Sankar & Associates. The track and trolley system utilised for this project where light weight guideless track and four wheel roller. MS fabrication in the form of a Y type structure using 40/40 angle where fabricated for suspending the track in line with the false ceiling. The acoustic baffling of the track area was done using 12.5mm thick gypsum, MDF board, plywood on either side filled with 50mm thick 48kg/m3 density rock wool slab. The system utilised center stacking parking arrangements where the partition was parked equally on both sides. The panel finish proposed by client was designer laminate.
